Hartnell Taylor Cook Case Study
A secure, resilient communications and network platform connecting 90 property professionals across three offices.

Connecting three property-management offices through one dependable communications environment
Hartnell Taylor Cook provides commercial property management, agency and professional property services. Its teams depend on reliable communication with landlords, tenants, contractors, investors and professional partners throughout the working day.
Intuity has supported the organisation since 2012, providing a joined-up communications and security platform for approximately 90 users across three sites. The long-term relationship has developed from the original telephone deployment into ongoing support for voice services, SIP connectivity and perimeter security.
The business requirement
Teams working across separate offices needed to operate as one business. Users required consistent extension dialling, call transfer, voicemail and reception services regardless of their location.
The organisation also wanted to reduce reliance on ageing telephone lines, strengthen security between its offices and create a platform that could be supported through a single supplier relationship.
The proposed architecture
- Avaya IP Office as the core business communications platform.
- Gamma SIP trunks for inbound and outbound public telephone traffic.
- Palo Alto firewalls protecting each office and controlling site-to-site traffic.
- Secure inter-site connectivity supporting extension dialling and shared services.
- Centralised dial plans, voicemail and call-routing administration.
- Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and technical support from Intuity.
Controlled implementation
Intuity completed a detailed audit of users, telephone numbers, hunt groups, reception requirements, network addressing and security policies before finalising the design. The migration was separated into site-specific work packages so each office could be tested and accepted before the next stage began.
The deployment was managed as a controlled programme covering discovery, configuration, testing, user migration and handover. Each stage was coordinated with the customer so communications services could be introduced without unnecessary disruption.
Security and service continuity
The Palo Alto firewall environment was configured to separate trusted business traffic, voice services and guest access. Security policies were documented so legitimate communications traffic could pass between offices without exposing unnecessary services.
Gamma SIP trunks provided a modern replacement for traditional telephone connectivity, while routing rules and recovery procedures were documented to support continuity during planned maintenance or local service issues.
Long-term support
Intuity has continued to maintain the communications platform, firewall environment and SIP services as the organisation’s requirements have changed. Regular configuration reviews help ensure that new users, number changes and security requirements are introduced in a controlled way.
The relationship has remained positive since 2012, with Intuity operating as a trusted point of coordination across communications, connectivity and network security.
The result
- Approximately 90 users can communicate consistently across three offices.
- Avaya IP Office provides a common feature set and central administration.
- Gamma SIP trunks support flexible call routing and number management.
- Palo Alto firewalls strengthen protection at each site.
- Inter-site calling reduces avoidable public-network call charges.
- Intuity provides one support route across voice, SIP connectivity and firewall services.
- The customer relationship has continued positively since 2012.
