A Trip to Tonwell St Mary’s Primary School
On Friday 5th April 2019, we paid a visit to visit Tonwell St Mary’s Primary School, to present our final charity cheque.
We had a tour of the school, met the teaching staff and some of the children and were able to sit in on their worship assembly. Martin spoke to the children, telling them why we chose to donate money to charity instead of sending Christmas gifts to our customers. The Headteacher told us that they were going to use the funds to purchase some additional IT equipment and the children were extremely excited by this. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Tonwell St Mary’s is a small school in the heart of the community. School budgets are constantly being squeezed and as a result, staff and Governors have to made tough decisions about where to place school funds. The team at Support UK hopes that our donation goes a little way to help relive the school’s financial constraints.
